Absolutely A Winner!
I didn’t come home with any of the big cash awards, but I am absolutely a winner!
I win because so many of you love LOG and love me and voted (and voted) for me. They said they had nearly a million online votes for the 125 nominees!
I win because I brought home a $125.00 gift card that will enable me to treat some of you who voted for me to some ice cream or coffee and conversation. Interested? Let me know …
And I’m not the only winner.
The northern Indiana area served by Mutual Bank wins because of all the wonderful people who were honored this evening. People who care and volunteer and work so hard to make a difference in other people’s lives. 125 people were chosen from over 300 nominees – but there are countless others who give selflessly and continually. We are blessed to have some of those people serving as adult advisors in our program. And many LOGgers make a difference by serving in their schools and around our community.
By the way – the Grand Prize winner tonight was a senior high girl from Selma, Indiana. Lyndsey Estep is active in her church and community. Her nominator said, “She never put’s herself first.”
May we all strive to live our lives this way! May we all strive to follow Jesus who “being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death—even death on a cross! (Philippians 2:6-8 NIV)
To God be the glory – and the win!
